2019 Turkey Trot
On a brisk fall morning in November, hundreds of walkers, joggers, and runners, took their places at the starting line for the annual Dakotah! Sport and Fitness Turkey Trot 5K. Participants had a beautiful, scenic backdrop—The Meadows at Mystic Lake—as they made their way along the roughly three-mile course. With awards being given to the top three overall male and female finishers for each age group, racers partook in friendly competition to reach the finish line. Winners each received a 10- to 15-pound turkey and a trophy. Upon wrapping up the 5K, the kiddos eagerly lined up to begin their half-mile fun run. All participants received a Turkey Trot shirt and post-race refreshments.
