  • 6 bell peppers
  • 1/2 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 pound Italian sausage
  • A small onion, diced
  • 15-ounch can of tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup white rice, cooked
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cut off the tops of the bell peppers and clear the inside of the seeds and membranes. Carve out jack-o'-lantern face or desired design in the side of the pepper.
  3. Boil water in a large pot. Add peppers to water and cook for five minutes.
  4. In a large skillet fry ground beef, sausage, and onion on medium-high heat. Drain any excess grease.
  5. Add tomato sauce, garlic, rice, Worcestershire sauce, and onion powder to skillet and mix into meat and onion. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Spoon mixture into bell peppers.
  7. Place peppers into an ungreased dish. Cook in the oven for 25 minutes. Top peppers with shredded cheese and cook for an additional 5-10 minutes. Let stand one minute before serving.
