You have been a member for 15 years. What are the top three things that have kept you at DSF?
I enjoy the culture at DSF—it feels like everybody knows your name, and it’s a judgement-free atmosphere. It’s also a well-maintained facility—you can tell there is a lot of pride in keeping the place clean and updated. Finally, I appreciate the friendly and knowledgeable staff. -
How have your fitness goals changed over the years?
My fitness goals have changed from packing on as much muscle mass as possible to simply maintaining an active lifestyle as I advance in age. -
What keeps you motivated to continue leading a healthy lifestyle and how has DSF supported you?
My motivation to continue leading a healthy lifestyle is that I have roughly 4-5 years until retirement. I simply cannot think of a better way of spending my golden years motivating other silver-sneaker retirees that aging can be done gracefully simply by remaining active. -
If you could go back to when you were 25 years old, what are three fitness tips you would tell yourself?
I would tell myself that working out 24/7 is not necessary in maintaining a sculpted physique. I also should probably consider another primary carbohydrate choice other than alcohol. And finally, I would tell myself to get plenty of rest.
