  • Why did you join Dakotah! Sport and Fitness?
    My wife and I recently retired and she said I needed to get out of the house.

  • What do you like best about Dakotah! Sport and Fitness?
    There is so much variety and opportunity to get healthier and accomplish your fitness goals! The club amenities are vast, there seems to be a class for everyone, and there's rarely a wait for a piece of equipment.
  • What area(s) of the club do you use?
    I like to utilize the free weights, stationary bikes, treadmills, circuit room, and the track. I like to finish off a workout in the steam room, too. I haven't made my way down to the pool yet, but will soon!
  • What are your fitness or health goals and how is Dakotah! Sport and Fitness helping you attain them?
    As you age, you lose muscle mass. My goal is to tone my physique while also losing weight. Dakotah! Sport and Fitness is helping by providing the venue and equipment for year-round cardio and weight training. I also have access to a trainer if I want more assistance. If you want results, Dakotah! Sport and Fitness takes away any excuse for not achieving them.
  • Any tips for current or prospective members?
    Ask questions and swallow your pride! The staff at Dakotah! Sport and Fitness is there to help you. If you want to know how a machine works, what it's for, or what machines or exercises are good for certain muscle groups, ASK! The Dakotah! Sport and Fitness staff are vested in your success. And don't worry about how you look starting out. Everyone starts the journey from the same point, some are just further along. Don't overdo it! Start small and work your way up. Research what you need to accomplish your fitness goal. Make a plan and stick to it. Don't get discouraged if you occasionally take a step back. Fitness is a lifelong pursuit.
