- Junior members ages 11 and under and guests ages 15 and under are not allowed in the fitness areas under any circumstances.
- Allow others to “work in” on strength training equipment during your rest periods.
- Keep hands and feet away from all moving equipment and weight stacks.
- Report any equipment problem immediately to a staff member. Do not attempt to repair or adjust any equipment that has malfunctioned.
- Use wipes provided on the workout floor to wipe off equipment or benches after each use.
- If you are unfamiliar with the use of any equipment, please ask a staff member for assistance.
- Strip all bars down to zero weight and rack weights after each use.
- Use a spotter when attempting maximum weight.
- Collars are to be used for “free bar” lifting.
- Moving strength or cardio is equipment is not allowed.
- Headphones are REQUIRED when listening to mobile devices, tablets, or laptops.
- Please keep cardio workouts to 45 minutes.
- Phone calls are not allowed on any of the Fitness Floor areas (Cardio/strength).
- Junior members ages 11-15 must attend an annual equipment orientation or a test-out prior to using any of the equipment on the fitness floor. To sign up for junior member orientation or test-out, please call 952.496.6874.
- Any junior member (11-15) that appears to be under the age of 20 using the fitness floor without a junior badge will be approached by a staff member.
- Dakotah! Sport and Fitness offers a second floor workout area for parents/guardians who wish to work out with an infant that is restrained in a car seat or stroller. Infants and children 10 years of younger are not allowed on the fitness floor at any time.
